1st Battalion – Shelling caused
at about 10.30am brought down by hostile fire 600x behind our trenches (front
line). Sergt Archer.A.H. recommended for bravery and helping mechanic under heavy
shell & M.G. fire – K.Coy attached for instruction – 2 killed 10 wounded –
K Coy of 8th Munster Fus, relieve C Coy.
2nd Battalion – Whole
Battalion employed in working parties under R.E. Supervision.

Battalion – 2?Lt J.T. Harker I.A.R.O. was transferred to the Battn,
for training from the 2nd R.West Kent Regt.

– Battalion remained in billets & continued training.

Battalion – In Billets nothing to record.
8th
Battalion – On the night of the 19/20th Feb 1916 the 1st
Bn, R.W. Kent Regt relieved the 8th Bn, The Queen’s in the right
section trenches.
The relief was complete at 12 midnight and the Bn, marched
to BELGIUM CHATEAU.
