The Queen's (Royal West Surrey) Regiment 13th February1916

13^th February 1916  –

1st Battalion – Moved up to trenches in A1 -16 Mx on left – 19 Bde on right. Heavy shelling during day – quiet at night.

2nd Battalion – TRENCHES.

Quiet day. A few “Sausages” were thrown into our Support Trenches behind 74 Fire Trench. Hostile working party was dispersed by our rifle fire during the night.

Officers 30.    Other Ranks 849.

1/5^th Battalion – All the wounded were sent down to BASRA in mehailas. Battn, attended church parade.

1/6^th Battalion – Battalion remained in billets & continued training.

7^th Battalion – Lt A.J.R. Haggard and 2 Lt A.B. Marston, joined the Battalion.
