The Queen's (Royal West Surrey) Regiment 12th February1916

12th February 1916  –

1st Battalion – Ordinary Routine.
2nd BattalionBRAY TO TRENCHES.
The Battalion relieved the 1st South Staffords in the trenches. Just after relief was complete, the enemy bombarded our Support Trenches & WELLINGTON REDOUBT with 18 prs & 4.5 H.E. After this the night passed quietly.
Officers 30.    Other Ranks 849.
To Hospital 6.
1/5th Battalion – A&B companies went out on a column along the SHATRA Rd. There were no signs of the enemy.
1/6th Battalion – Battalion remained in billets & continued training.
7th Battalion – 55 Company Machine Gun Corps joined the Brigade. D Company relieved platoon of C at BECOURT.
