The Queen's (Royal West Surrey) Regiment 4th December 1915

4th December 1915 – 

1st Battalion – Quiet day.
2nd Battalion BOURECQ.
Billets. Rain all day.
Officers 32.    Other Ranks 765.
 To Hospital 3.
1/6th Battalion – Remained in billets, training & Bombing classes continued. Musketry.
7th Battalion SUB-SECTOR D.3. BECOURT.
11.55am Our miners fired mine at F 3 c. Artillery cooperated.
5pm Enemy fired mine at F 3 c & shelled our mine-heads there. Our artillery replied. We suffered no
casualties or damage to trenches. 1 Company of 16th Lancashire Fusiliers attached to the Battalion
for instruction
