The Queen's (Royal West Surrey) Regiment 3rd December 1915

3^rd December 1915 – 

1st Battalion – Quiet day. 1 Coy of 17^th R.Fusiliers attached for 24 hours.

2nd Battalion – Battalion marched to billets at BOURECQ at 10.15am.

Officers 32.    Other Ranks 768.

1/6^th Battalion – Remained in billets, training & Bombing classes continued. Musketry.  

7^th Battalion –The Battalion relieved 8^th East Surrey Regt in sub-sector D3 by day. Thigh gum boots were used by all the men in trenches, which had suffered severely from frosts & heavy rain & had become very muddy. Sufficient steel helmets were available for use of sentries.
