The Queen's (Royal West Surrey) Regiment 5th December 1915

5th December 1915 – 

1st Battalion – Quiet day.
2nd Battalion – The Battalion marched at 2pm to LILLERS & entrained. En route to III army area.
Strength 23 Officers. – 677 Other Ranks. 76 animals, 24 vehicles. Arrived SALEUX 12.40am 6th inst. Detrained in 2 hrs 40 min. Marched to Billets at MOLLIENS – VIDARES arriving there at 9am, 6th inst.
Officers 32.    Other Ranks 763.
To Hospital 2.
1/6th Battalion – Remained in billets, training & Bombing classes continued. Musketry.
7th Battalion – Continued rain caused much damage to our trenches. 2 Lieut T.C. Filby joined.
