The Queen's (Royal West Surrey) Regiment 17th December 1915

17th December 1915 – 

1st Battalion – Brigade Route March at 10am. The Battn, lead. Distance about 7½ miles.
2nd Battalion – Officers 32.    Other Ranks 791.
To Hospital 3, From Hospital 1.
Night operations – night march & night advance.
1/5th Battalion - Capt. P.R. WHITTINGTON & 2 platoons acted as general to Arabs building down on N. side of river. Capt. H.P. GABB with Lt. MORTON and 64 N.C.O's & men took over No. 9 post S. E. of Camp.
1/6th Battalion – 2 Companies carried out 2 hours route march, one Company 2 hours drill & D Coy was sent to the Divisional School to give a demonstration.
7th Battalion – In billets nothing to record.
