The Queen's (Royal West Surrey) Regiment 16th December 1915

16^th December 1915 – 

1st Battalion – ST, HILAIRE.

2 Lt I.W.S. Symons and one other rank joined the Battn.

2nd Battalion – Officers 32.    Other Ranks 793.

To Hospital 2.

1/5^th Battalion – NASARIYAR.

Pitched camp in date palm grove, with large expanse of open ground on South side. Visited by Brig. Gen. BROOKING Commanding 12th Brigade and commanding at NASARIYEH.

1/6^th Battalion – BETHUNE.

Rested in billets – 120 men from each Company bathed – clean underclothing was issued & Companies generally refitted – Bombing class under Lt Pike was commenced.

7^th Battalion – A Company was relieved from Mining Fatigue at BECORDEL & returned to billets.
