The Queen's (Royal West Surrey) Regiment 18th December 1915

18th December 1915 –
 
1st Battalion – Ordinary Routine.
2nd Battalion – Officers 32.    Other Ranks 793.
From Hospital 2.
Night operations – night march & night advance.
1/5th Battalion - Battalion again found guard on the BUND. Started to dig redoubt on the S. side of camp.
1/6th Battalion – Church parade at 10am – remainder of the Bn had baths – C.O. and Coy Commanders went to see the reserve billets at LE TOURET. Each Coy found 2 officers & 80 men for carrying gas cylinders from PONT FIXE to trenches in front of GIVENCHY. The first party of 160 men left by busses at 5.30am & returned at about 12am. The second party left at 9.30pm & on completion of work went direct to LE TOURET where they arrived about 5am.
7th Battalion – In billets nothing to record
