The Queen's (Royal West Surrey) Regiment 23rd October 1915

23rd October 1915 – 

1st Battalion – Ordinary routine. Major S.T. Watson & Capt Hull of 6th Battn, came over during the afternoon.
2nd Battalion – Officers 25.    Other Ranks 724.
To Hospital 4.
From Hospital 5.
1/6th Battalion – Remained in billets. 2 Hour route march carried out. C.O. & Coy Commanders went to look over trenches in front of THE QUARRY about G 4 a which the Battalion were to take over.
2/4th Battalion – During this period the Battalion was employed digging trenches on and around LALA BABA and garrisoning the trenches by night.
7th Battalion – Preliminary orders received for inspection parade on 25th Oct.

8th Battalion – Training.
