The Queen's (Royal West Surrey) Regiment 22nd October 1915

22nd October 1915 – 

1st BattalionVENDIN.
Ordinary routine.
2nd Battalion – Officers 25.    Other Ranks 724.
To Hospital 6.
From Hospital 1.
The Battalion marched to some practise trenches close to LA RIQUELLERIE & then practised the attack & getting out of trenches.
1/6th Battalion – Remained in billets. Bombing & Machine Gun classes carried out and Coys carried out 2 hours route marches.
2/4th Battalion – During this period the Battalion was employed digging trenches on and around LALA BABA and garrisoning the trenches by night.
7th Battalion – C Company relieved A on mining fatigue at BECOURT.

8th Battalion – Battalion supplied 300 men as Trench Working Party under 104th & 129th  Field Coy R.E. Party met by guides at CAFÉ BELGE, DICKEBUSCH. Returned to camp 3am. New draft of 200 men arrived.
