The Queen's (Royal West Surrey) Regiment 19th October 1915

19th October 1915 – 

1st Battalion – Ordinary routine.
2nd Battalion – Cleaning up & washing.
Officers 25.    Other Ranks 735.
To Hospital 2.
From Hospital 2.
1/6th Battalion – The Battalion was relieved by the 13th Royal Scots. The Battalion however left the trenches before the Royal Scots came in leaving 4 guides per Coy & one for Headquarters who met Coys of the Royal Scots at Railway Line and HULLOCK ROAD. The Battalion left trenches by Companies commencing at 9.30am and formed up at Transport Camp at VERMELLES at 12.45pm & marched to VERQUIN where the were billeted in empty houses sheds etc, & the Machine Gunners under canvas – Casualties wounded other ranks three.
2/4th Battalion – During this period the Battalion was employed digging trenches on and around LALA BABA and garrisoning the trenches by night.
7th Battalion – In Billets, nothing to record.
8th Battalion RENINGHELST.
