Battalion - A very bad thunderstorm in the early hours of the morning
made everyone & everything very uncomfortable & during the day fatigue
parties had to be out draining the camp.
1/6th Battalion
– Front & Reserve Companies wired during the night, enemy quiet, except for
bursts of machine gun fire. The Battalion was relieved by 1st Royal
Berkshire Regt, the relief was completed at 7.15pm & the Battalion went
into billets for the night at LE TOURET.
Casualties 2 Wounded.
7th
Battalion – Quiet day nothing to record.
8th
Battalion – B, C, D Coys – work on Defence Point.
