The Queen's (Royal West Surrey) Regiment 10th January1916

10th January 1916 – 

1st Battalion – Relieved 16th K.R.R. in A1 starting at 4.45pm – 98th Brigade on the right and 2 Worcesters on left.
2nd Battalion – Company Parades – Smoke Helmet drill – night firing.
Officers 32.    Other Ranks 827.
Draft 41.
1/5th Battalion – 7.30am - Orders for move cancelled as there had been more rain.
2pm - The Battn did & practice attack on a village some 4000 yards from camp. N. side under Br Gen TIDSWELL. On the whole he expressed himself well satisfied.

1/6th Battalion – Remained in billets, the day was spent in cleaning up.
7th Battalion – In billets nothing to record.
8th Battalion – Draft of 22 O.R. arrived at Camp D, G 24 c for Bn, from base.
