The Queen's (Royal West Surrey) Regiment 27th November 1915


27th November 1915 –
 
1st Battalion – Ordinary work. One Company of 21st R.F attached for 24 hours duty.
Casualties Nil.
2nd Battalion – Officers 31.    Other Ranks 775.
To Hospital 1.
From Hospital Nil.
Battn, moved to billets in Montmorency Barracks BETHUNE at 10am.
2/4th Battalion GALLIPPOLI.

1/5th Battalion – Storing of kit bags and spare baggage and handing over of everything to be left behind to Capt C.I .H. MASTER completed.
7.30am The G.O.C. 8th Lucknow Division Major General MAY Inspected the Battalion in full Field Service Dress & said goodbye,
7pm Orders received for Battalion to leave for BOMBAY at 9,50 a.m on 29th inst.
11pm Orders received to take over 3 horses from officers, 4th to be supplied at BOMBAY also 2 ponies.
1/6th BattalionLIERES.
Remained in billets - Training continued.
7th Battalion – In billets nothing to report.
8th Battalion GANSPETTE.
Battn, marched to NORDAUSQUES into permanent rest billets. (V Corps 2nd Army). Headquarters at large house near Church. The Companies are on the whole some distance from headquarters.
