The Queen's (Royal West Surrey) Regiment 18th November 1915

18th November 1915 – 

1st Battalion – Ordinary Routine
2nd Battalion – Officers 26.    Other Ranks 794.
Wounded 1.
To Hospital 1.
The Battalion relieved the S. Staffords in the trenches today. Same section as before. Delay caused through B & C Coys having to draw & put on gumboots.
2/4th Battalion GALLIPPOLI.
1/6th BattalionSAILLY LA BOURSE.
Remained in billets, & refitted – 140 men bathed.
7th Battalion – Enemy shelled trenches F 3 C O 8 with field guns, about 25 shells, no damage. Our miners fired camouflet successfully at F 3 a 40.
8th Battalion – Very quiet, evening marked by brisk machine gun fire on registered points in enemy’s support & reserve lines.
