The Queen's (Royal West Surrey) Regiment 30th July 1915

30th July 1915 – 

1st BattalionANNEQUIN.
Ordinary routine.
2nd Battalion – Officers 31.    Other Ranks 959.
From Hospital 2.
Killed 3.
Wounded 5.
To Hospital 5.
Working party of 7 Officers & 317 Other Ranks improving front communication trenches.
1/6th BattalionLE BIZET.
Quiet day – found working parties as above.
2/4th Battalion ALEXANDRIA.

7th Battalion – Training, more especially that of “specialists” carried on. First issue of “Smoke Helmets” was made, also bombs of various kinds for instructional purposes. 1 horse died & was replaced.
