21st July 1915 –
1st Battalion – BETHUNE
The Battn, comes under orders of 5th Inf, Bde
from 8.am today. 2 Lieut A.C. Armitage and one man accidently killed and 2
Lieut G.B. Goldberg wounded by explosion of Battye hand bomb while practising.
The Battn, moved into BETHUNE at 5.15 pm and billeted in the tobacco factory.
2 Lt Armitage and Pte Parsons buried in BEUVRY cemetery.

1/6th Battalion
– Remained in billets, Quiet day found working parties of 550 men to work on
subsidiary line.
