Lord Kitchener inspected the Bn, who lined the road N of St
HILAIRE.
1/6th Battalion
– Remained in billets. 1 Sergt from each platoon went into trenches occupied by
7th R.Sussex Rgt to get acquainted with trench occupied by their
platoons.
A draft of 60 other ranks arrived from the base - 22 of
these were men who had been left behind sick, at various places since the Bn
left England – The remainder were from 3rd Battalion.
