1st Battalion – Ordinary routine.
C.O. Capt Godfrey & Adjutant on Brigade staff Ride all morning.
2nd Battalion – A
very quiet day. It rained practically the whole day and in consequence
everything is very slippery & muddy.

– The Battalion remained in billets & furnished working party 450 strong to
dig trenches on Hill 140 1 mile N of BOMY.
7th
Battalion – Lieut Romney & the transport from VAUX-SUR-SOMME rejoined
the Battalion also Lt B.C. Haggard & the sick & lame – Lt F. Travers
took over the appointment of acting Adjutant Vice 2 Lieut T.C. Filby.
8th
Battalion – 24th/25th May.
The Bn was relieved in the trenches by the 8th
R.W. Kent Regt. Relief complete at 11.30 pm. On relief the Bn moved into Divl
Reserve at DRANOUTRE and was disposed as follows :-
A Coy & Snipers – STACK FARM,
C;D, Grenade, M.G. Det, Sigs – Hutment Camp.
B Coy – AIRCRAFT FARM.
