The Queen's (Royal West Surrey) Regiment 11th May 1916

11^th May 1916 –

1st Battalion – Ordinary routine. Working parties of 150 men. Concert in evening in Cinema Hall.

2nd Battalion – Hot day. Nothing to report from the trenches. The two companies at GRANTOWN are finding working parties all day & night.

Officers 35.    Other Ranks 890.

7 to Hospital.

2/4^th Battalion –

1/5^th Battalion – Ordered to draw 2 new machine guns. Guns Vickers light pattern.

1/6^th Battalion – The Battalion remained in billets & continued training.

7^th Battalion – BRAY.

All companies on fatigue. 2/Lts Shuldham-legh and F.L. Gammon returned from hospital.

8^th Battalion

10^th Battalion – Billets. Practice with Gas helmets in Gas attack.
