The Queen's (Royal West Surrey) Regiment 30th March 1916

30th March 1916–

1st Battalion – Battalion route march round HINGES & AVELETTE.
2nd Battalion – Whole Battalion on fatigue.
Officers 35.    Other Ranks 857.
2/4th Battalion
1/5th Battalion -
1/6th Battalion – The Battalion was relieved by the 6th Buffs, the relief was complete by 11.50am. The Battalion then went into Support “A” & “C” Coy went into O B 1, “B” Coy went into O B 4 (1 platoon) & 3 platoons in O B 5. “D” Coy & Lewis Guns in CURLEY CREST H.Q. were in CURLEY CREST. Supplied working under R.E.
Casualties 3 wounded.
7th Battalion – Major F.B.B. Pickard appointment to be Tem, Lieut, Colonel – commanding Bn – extract 18th DIV. R.O. Vice TEMP BRIGADIER GENERAL GLASGOW.
8th Battalion
