The Queen's (Royal West Surrey) Regiment 21st November 1915

21st November 1915 – 

1st Battalion – Ordinary Routine.
2nd Battalion – Officers 29.    Other Ranks 794.
To Hospital 2.
From Hospital 4.
Battn, employed working on communication trenches. 2 Coys morning 2 Coys afternoon. Weather fine. Our Artillery shelled Enemy’s wire during afternoon.
2/4th Battalion GALLIPPOLI.
1/5th Battalion - 9 invalids left for discharge.
1/6th Battalion – Remained in billets. Church Parade – All 1st Line Transport Vehicles were loaded. Orders received to march at 7.30am to LIERES. 3 Motor Lorries were placed at our disposal for moving blankets and Quartermasters stores.
7th Battalion – Very quiet day. C Company relieved B in front trenches.
8th Battalion – 9am Enemy shelled support lines of U27. Our artillery very active throughout morning.

Officers of 1st NORTHUMBERLAND FUS. Visited trenches preparatory to taking over our trenches tomorrow.
