– IN THE TRENCHES.
The enemy were busy working on their trenches all day. A
patrol went out in front of trench 92 and found the grass in front of the German
wire cut for a considerable distance. A great deal of walking on floor boards
was heard during the evening in the enemy’s lines, it was believed that a
relief was being carried out. The enemy were quiet during the whole day.
