The Queen's (Royal West Surrey) Regiment 11th September 1915

11^th September, 1915 –

1st Battalion – LE QUESNOY.

Ordinary Routine. The Battn was to have relieved Oxfords in Section B 3 at 5pm tomorrow, but orders cancelled at 9pm as the 19^th Bde, are relieving the 5^th Bde, on the 13^th.

2nd Battalion – Officers 29.    Other Ranks 1060.

1/6^th Battalion – The hostile snipers were somewhat more active to-day. Chiefly from the houses in LE TOUQUET. Our snipers accounted for two of a hostile working party & a periscope. The enemy were active all day & night on their trenches and dugouts.

2/4^th Battalion –

7^th Battalion – B Company relieved C Company at BECORDEL & POINT 71. C Company taking over billets vacated by B.

8^th Battalion – Divisional Field day - leaving 3am. Sentry in A. Coy last night fire on an ambulance which did not stop when challenged.
