The Queen's (Royal West Surrey) Regiment 6th September 1915

6^th September, 1915 –

1st Battalion – One of our mines was exploded at 5.30am, no casualties but our trenches slightly damaged by the explosion. Relieved by the Oxfords at 5.30pm and marched back to billets in LE QUESNOY.

2nd Battalion – Officers 29.    Other Ranks 1060.

7^th Battalion – 9.30pm Preliminary verbal instructions received as to an attack on German trenches S.W. of FRICOURT.

8^th Battalion – O.C and Coy. Officers ride to Brigade Headquarters to meet G.O.C. XI^th   Corps - General Haking – Battn, route march & practise bivouacs
